I found an eagle's nest, 1 mile away from me as the crow... er... eagle flies. Pictures will be added as I see eagles to take pics of. ;)

This is in one of my client's father in law's yard. You can imagine my surprise when I pulled up and saw how close she was. I could underhand toss a rock up there and land it in the nest. She's huge, even by eagle standards. She's about 3wks. behind in fledging. An mature eagle was found dead by their place and we believe it was a mate and the first eggs were lost. Reasons to think sheagle is the fact that siblcide was performed at this nest, females tend to be the first to hatch, therefor older and more agressive... it all adds up. I've named her, "Ducky," as she's got this call that's like a cross between a Canada goose and a blue heron. :D

Things that don't fit in the eagle album but this is a nature forum, right? There's certainly all kinds of wildlife around me and it appears they're much easier to photograph than the eagles.
