Victoria - Wild ARC Plant Pot Hooters

Victoria's Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre (WildARC) received a call January 10th regarding an injured owl, and referred to Jeff Krieger of Alternative Wildlife Solutions to asses the situation. A Great-Horned Owl was located in a planter box on the fourth story of a local Victoria building, not injured at all but incubating eggs in her makeshift nest. To verify this, a quick search by Jeff confirmed his suspicions; pellets scattered under the nest site, and a male roosting in a tree 50ft away - What a unique oppotunity for a webcam!

This owl cam is a first for Hancock Wildlife - so we have partnered with the folks at Wild ARC and they will be providing some additional information about this nest - and about great horned owls (or GHOs) - and answer some questions as we see what happens as these creatures of the night nest in a major city.

Please visit our Victoria - Wild ARC Plant Pot Hooters Discussion Thread and post your observations and screenshots once the cam is online.
