This nest is on the property of very enthusiastic eagle watchers - who have named the pair Jack and Jill. Jack and Jill had one eaglet fledge in 2011 and one fledged in 2012. They built their nest in 2010. It is located in the Fraser Valley, about 5 miles east of Mission on the way to the Chehalis - Harrison River complex.

Canada Geese Take Over HWF Mission, BC Bald Eagle Nest

Surprise!! Surprise!!  We had given up hopes of seeing "Jack and Jill", the resident pair of Bald Eagles who made their nest home for the last two seasons in Mission, BC.  We have learned that last summer they built a new nest across the highway.  So many were sad that there would be nothing to watch on our HWF Mission cam.  Wrong!!

Recently a pair of Canada Geese were seen in the Mission nest.  It's not the first time that geese have taken over a bald eagle nest so it was not that unusual.  However today the pair returned on camera and we can now see at least two goose eggs in the eagle nest.  You can find the Mission cam on our Live Cameras page.  Just click on the link at the top of each web page.
