I'm a relatively new eagle cam watcher (Swfec) and have never had the privilege of seeing one in person. I'm totally taken with these wonderful creatures! Thank you to all who are sharing these photos and videos...so wondrous and exciting to see. The joy in Christian's voice at watching is infectious! Thank you thank you....I await more views through your eye!

Welcome ccmandel. Yes Christian is very enthusiastic and it is contagious.

Thank you dear friend Carolyn. I am so often disgusted by insensitive photographers. Just recently I saw 3 people with huge lens upsetting and harassing a Barred Owl mother and chick. The mother flew to another branch to distract them from her baby and the baby was squealing and they just kept following her and pointing and shooting.

Thanks Annemie

Carolyn As you probably know, I have been watching this nest for many years and very rarely do I see other people at the nest site. When I do see others they are always quiet and respectful. A few of the neighbours have told me there was a fellow named Phillip who used to visit the nest every day but Rosemary, the neighbor who CTV interviewed on Wed. when I was there, said she hasn't seen him for quite awhile. None of the neighbours I have spoken to were upset that he was there watching and taking photos of the eagles. Of course, I have no idea what goes on any other time but according to the neighbours, they have not encountered a problem with anyone.

Kay: I am referring to unscrupulous photographers in general and there are many of them. I am not referring to anyone in particular or the photographers at Roberts Bay. The neighbours there WERE upset for a couple of days and I understand why but things have quietened down now. If someone reading here is guilty of harassment when photographing wildlife then let us hope they are more respectful in future.
We don't need to bring this up again.

I still cannot get over the "red tailed hawk" in an eagles nest.
Every time I read the posts I just start to laugh.
Just so unbelievable.
People say fly with the eagles. Well, how about growing up with them and then flying along side them.

"God speed little hawk".

I have a feeling the "little red tailed hawk" will fledge.
The parents just keep feeding the little one as one of their own.

Wow.
Nature is just so amazing

Christian: That video is incredible. David H should be able to age the hawklet from that close up. What a crop! Incredible.
The other adult is audible in the video and sounds distressed. Crows?

I was just about to post some pix from yesterday and I cannot match your quality but not many of us can.
