I was watching off and on all day today. I saw the change over to the close up cam at 12:30. It went pretty smoothly. It wasn't long after that Liberty flew in with a fish and made short order of it. I think she is acting like a pregnant femaleWhistling There were some other nestovers that she was dragging about that looked like it could have been some type of rodent. Pat flew in some time later and finishe that off. He even got some stuck on his big yellow "foot" It was funny to see him trying to get it off and after several attempts finally just yanked it off with his beak. "Dang, I hate it when that happens!" Laugh
Well eaglewoman, unless Libby lays an egg tonight, I guess my second guess for the 13th is still on. We shall see.

wave Hey Debs! Thanks for checking in! Yes, I think we are very close to an egg! We are supposed to get a break from the rain on Sunday so I'm thinking that would be a great day for Libby to lay her 1st egg! She was really pullling at the soft stuff in the nest cup today, getting it nice and ready for those eggs! They both came in around 4:30 today and were busy little beavers indeed!
Here's to another successful season for our beloved eagles, Patriot & Liberty...
Cheers!

Both were at the nest briefly. I think one may be perched somewhere - looks like the shadows might be moving. One of them brought in another branch with evergreen needles earlier this morning, and carefully arranged it near the nest cup.

I agree - it's getting close! Grin

Both were in the nest a couple minutes ago. Only one is there now, but the camera is cutting its head off--don't know if is is Patriot or Liberty.

One of them there, digging in the nest bowl. Looks as if there's lots of cushy padding in place.
