Here is one I will write for you right now for grins!

Our poetry corner is growing, methinks
with fun and remembrance of all we have seen.
We revel in the special of all that has passed,
knowing the future will be another blast!

The writers are busy, scribbling their notes,
a token to friends who are often remote
off in the wilds of Canada, Europe or here
way down in Texas in the hot summer, what a joke!

The eaglets are journeying far into the bleu
to see what is seldom something that we can do;
filling their bellies with salmon and fish
while it is a'plenty to get as they wish.

It's fun to have more friends who write what they see,
knowing it will be shared with all y'all and me.
For each day's a joy to behold in its splender,
with surprises coming from each writer.

My kitties are spread over all of the chairs,
the dog is resting alone on the stairs,
the time is awaiting for our long walk
so I will leave and no longer talk!

I have met many a friends here,
Not one, not two,
some new, one named Bleu
but oh so many names
who share in these games
So thank you my eagle friends
For travelling a road with many bends.
Irish eyes keep smiling
So long as the eagles keep flying!

It's good to see, someone like me
who relishes the pets and the eagles.
We find our solace in the promise of a new tomorrow
bright and shiny as can be.

The folk here are special, unique in their way,
from all over the continent we find each other this day.
My dear friend from the far eastern island and the new from B.C.
all seem to be becoming an important part of me.

Our pets are our focus and service to others,
helping, encouraging while fostering our brothers.
It's a joy to behold a place such as this with joy shining through
and bliss in a thought of eagles who recently flew.

Jumping in the water, leaping in the air,
the dog has joy transparent to all who are there!
Each leap is perfect, sometimes catching the treasure
and when it is caught JOY beyond measure.

This goes on for hours, playing gleefully,
the dog named Bleu and her owner too,
water logged in a good way with much to say,
for each day brings these hoots!

Then you see her in a different way,
going into the nursing home calm and transparent
loving on the seniors in a way beyond comprehension
that only she can do, and you wish you could too.

Their faces transform into expressions of abject joy
at each touch of the fur and the head on their bed.
She kisses their fingers, they fondle her ears,
and smiles are found from the frown that was here.

The wheelchairs are dangers, can run over a tail,
but her owner watches carefully to make sure it is not there.
They form a big circle around her to gaze at her brown eyes
so soft, gentle with expression of times long ago.

They remember their pets, often saying their names,
and holding her gently to bring back the frames,
of when they were little chasing the ball
with the pet in their heart remembered through the call.

The call to go is strong, the moment is so sweet
and then it is gently that she goes to sleep.
She rests for the next time and waits for the leaps
that come with her owner in the pool so bleu and deep.
