Osprey, 8-12-10. This snag, visible from our kitchen window, often provides a good viewpoint for the local eagles, and I’ve also spotted a red-tailed hawk atop the snag. This is the first time I’ve spotted an osprey, however. The first three photos are taken from our backyard. I was able to move closer for additional photos. The osprey was ripping apart what looked like a flounder or some other fish. The osprey ate the entire fish and stayed in the snag for more than an hour before moving off. The osprey was lucky an eagle was not nearby. If so, the eagle probably would have tried to steal the osprey’s fish.

I was walking in Morningside park & saw nothing. I scrutinize everywhere. I turned lefty & went down a path, looked left & saw 3 does & maybe a fawn hidden well. Backtracked to main driveway & waited. One doe obliged me & walked out..click big
