Good Morning Everyone,
Hmm!!! We must have all took the week-end off. I tried to lay low myself as I'm still battling with this crummy cold. It's not real real bad, but just enough that I don't feel up to par.
We had a State Inspector that had retired from her job just last week. She would come and do an inspection on our apples when we needed them to be inspected. I'm really going to miss her. Anyway, she knew how much I liked the birds. In fact, she was the one that gave me the bird clock. She invited me to a bird seminar on Saturday in a town not too far away. The two ladies that ran it have nurseries of native trees and plants, but talked about birds and plants that attract them. It was very interesting and I'm hoping to visit their nurseries in the spring. They also alerted us to the yearly bird count anyone can participate in. This is for the upcoming week-end. If anyone is interested you can go to: http://www.birdsource.org/gbbc/howto.html . I found the web-site quite interesting when I peeked in there this morning.
The Inspector also brought me a whole lot of magazines which she had. A lot of them were Birds and Blooms, which I loved to look at, but really need to read them when I can find some time. They also have a site you can go to if your interested. http://www.birdsandblooms.com/
This was pretty interesting also.
I also took some information on our Hancock web site with me. Hopefully anyone that is interested will join us.
Boy, it's been hard looking at the Blackwater Eagle cam. I feel so sorry for poor Mom laying in all that snow. I haven't had a chance to go to the thread today, but I sure hope the sun is shinning there.
Well, I had better get back to work. Wishing everyone a fun-filled day.
