Well, the fun wasn't over yet!!!!

Liberty circled around and landed in the river below the Family Tree!!!

I grabbed my point & shoot camera and ran over to an opening through the trees and started videotaping her! The smaller camera can take videos even when there is very little light!Bravo

Here is the 1st video of Liberty in the river...

Liberty took a few drinks and looked around a bit, so I kept shooting! I didn't have time to grab my tripod, so it is a little shaky!Titter
But, I had no idea how long she was going to stay in the river and I didn't want to miss a minute of it!

After 5-10 minutes, Liberty did finally lift off and she headed south toward her nest & her eaglets, Birdie & Bogey at the Riverview...

It was a wonderful moment in time, and I'm just glad that I was lucky enough to be there to capture it for all of you who love Liberty as much as I do!Red HeartSitting eagleRed Heart

The Golf Course had a 5-day Tournament going on so I wasn't able to get down there on Monday. But, today, Kit & I spent some time down at the course from 6:00am-8:00am & we had quite a treat!
We got to see Bogey flying!!!!

Both eaglets were at the nest when we got there & they were wingercizing and branching. All of a sudden, little Bogey lifted off!!!!

Kit & I both missed the beginning of Bogey's flight because we were so shocked that he/she had lifted off!Titter

Here is a video of the first time Kit & I had seen Bogey fly! We were just a wee bit excited...Titter

Oh, the fun wasn't over yet!!!

Little Bogey took off and flew a couple more times while we were there! This time I found Bogey along the river perched in a Pine Tree & after a bit, he took off again!

Bogey landed in a pine tree across the river, hopped around a bit, and then, you guessed it, took off yet again!!!!

Wow, wow, wow!! How wonderful to see Liberty in her old favorite perch tree, then to see her in the river drinking, only to be followed by the news that both eaglets are now flying and flying quite well. What wonderful news for the Redding eagles. Your time spent at the nest site has been quite rewarded, Terri. Congratulations on the fledgings.
