Thanks JudyB Left thumb up, I was coming here to say that Solo has been seen in the nest.

Have a great time today everyone, it's an awesome experience to see our Sidney family in person, flying high and free, hope Solo makes an appearance as well.
I look forward to reading alll the reports and seeing some photos wave.

Your current temp. is 13C (55.4F), the forecast is 20C Left thumb up(68F) and the wind is calm.

Hi folks,

I’m brand new here. I met Urbaneagle last night while I was taking photos of the fledging eaglet at Saxe Point in Victoria. Thought I would come and have a look. Enjoy very much photographing the eagles wherever I can find them and this seems to be a very good resource. I’ve added a few photos from last night in honor of fledge fest.

Hi capo - and welcome to the forum! Welcome

Those are beautiful pictures - thank you so much for sharing them. It does give an idea of what people may be seeing at the nest today.

I hope you don't mind that I edited your post to make the pictures visible so everyone can see them. Attaching pictures is a two-part process, uploading the picture and inserting FILE tags in the post. There's a link in my signature that explains the process. The forum software limits the size of the picture that you see in the post - but if you click on the picture, you'll see it full size with all the detail. Some pictures need to be clicked twice to reach full size - you'll know because the cursor looks like a magnifying glass with a + in it until it's full size.

If you have any questions, please let us know - and please continue to share your pictures - they're great! Left thumb up

I saw a bit of movement when the curtains lifted briefly a few minutes ago, but couldn't tell if it was a smaller bird in the nest, or Solo at or beyond the far edge. Will keep watching to see if I get another peek. Smile

I should mention that this thread is primarily for reports and photos related to FledgeFest 2010 - both from those gathering at the site and those watching on the cam. It's nice to have the historical perspective covered, and a few pics of the Saxe Point eaglet to compare to the pics we're hoping to see of Solo exploring the neighborhood - and we would like the rest of the posts to be about what's happening today at FledgeFest. Thanks! Smile

I posted, on another thread, a pictorial journey from the road into the viewing area and a panorama of the area and the trees moving onto the nest. The last in the series are two pictures of Solo in flight. My URL takes you to the top of page 320 on the thread and the first picture is about 2/3 down the page and continues on to page 321.
Those coming to Fledge Fest, see you soon.
