waveBev, thanks so much for the birthday wishesLeft thumb up It was very thoughtful of you to send me an eagle cakeNodding

waveTanner, I might have some time to get over to Saxe Pt. Park Mon. or Tues. If you think you will be able to meet me please send me a PM.

Sorry Kay - been working too much. It's too bad to hear about the jogger - sometimes I feel like this stuff doesn't happen in our small little town but the truth is that it happens more than we know.

This Saturday I have surgery which will put me out of work while I recover for (up to) 10 weeks. I'm gonna make it out to Esq. at least a few times during that period. I've never seen an eaglet wingersizing and I'd like to. I will try to post in advance when I am planning to head out that way.

I wish you the best and hope that the surgery goes well and produces good resultsNodding The eaglet should be around for quite a few more weeks so let me know when you are feeling up to making the trip to the nest.

I took some pics of the eagles (from the end of the side street) with my PowerShot on 2.3X digital zoom. The eaglet was wingersizing when I arrived and then was eating something in the nest. Dad was perched at the top of the nest tree. Click bigger.

A few more pics of the eaglet wingersizing. It was picking up whatever it was eating and then started tearing pieces off. Dad is perched at the top of the nest tree in the last pic. Click bigger.

I've come across some spare time this morning and I'm going to be heading out to Saxe Pt. within the hour. Hoping I can track down the nest!!

Edit: I found a nest in the park, and an adult eagle stopped by briefly...however, I didn't see much action nor the eaglet. Is it possible that there are two nests at Saxe Pt.?

Hi Tanner,

I've been away since early Fri. morning and have just read your post. As far as I know there is only 1 nest in the park. The nest tree is overlooking the little beach area. Because of the size and shape of the nest it is quite often difficult to see an eaglet if it is lying down in the nest. Did you take any pics?
