Thanks for the info about the nest site, yalitldevil. It will be late August before I am in the area, so the osplets will probably be gone by then. Still, I might be able to find the empty nest.

IIRC the intersection of Mary Hill Rd and Hwy 7 has been changed since I left there for Victoria, 6 years ago. Too many accidents at that corner.

I imagine they are nesting close to the Grand River so they can catch fish...although I wouldn't want to eat anything caught in the Grand.....too much agricultural runoff.

You're very welcome Calypso, Smile it's been a while since I was out that way too. The last time I was down I was just in Kitchener and did the xpressway in and out. I didn't know or I'd have gone then. I'm not sure how long these birds have lived in that area but I know a lot of work has been done to clean up the Grand. Hopefully their strong digestion overcomes.

Here's the last shots of the day and I'll be back at it tomorrow wave

The opsrey cams are down and I have a feeling it was taken out by the bad weather overnight. I'll be back when the cams are up again, I hope the sweet Osprey family is safe! Wub

11:38 AM still down

12:32 AM It was just reported that the storm front split with half going north and half going south around this area! It must just be cam trouble then according to this most recent weather report.

12:37 AM oh man am I happy to see this!
