Here's a shot of one of the adults in this beautiful nest on the 16th. There doesn't seem to be any movement towards putting an egg into that nest though!!

They haven't totally given up on this nest yet but it's starting to get late for eggs. How disappointing!!

Since it appears that we may not have eggs and a chick this year I thought I would post a couple of pictures of the beaitiful eaglet, Spot. from last year ('09).

Here is Spot in the nest with Mom Eha. Look at those gorgeous markings!!


After she fledged Spot was found in the forest with a broken wing. After rehab she was successfully released.

I get there in time for empty nest!!
As you say - very dissapointing!

And I get " too many retrie - go away" at the Kotkas nest - where there are two chicks

Woof!! That's much prettier than an empty nest no matter how attractive it may be!!
