The days are getting longer now folks and it's possible to watch the cam until at least 5PM BC time if the day is dry and sunny.
Check this out!! I managed to find a weather report from the Sandpiper Golf Resort... This is where bandit was released from in November and it's basically where the cam platform is.
Link to the weather at the Sandpiper Golf Resort
Thursday should have Variable Cloudiness in the Morning and be Cloudy with Sunny breaks in the afternoon.
I came for the eagles, and stayed for the friends I made

I've been watching the cam for a while - not a lot of activity today.
2:17 pm
Cam is now aimed at smoke on the far side of the river.
It looks a bit frightening, but we saw smoke in the area once before, and Richard reminded me that it's not at all the wilderness area it appears to be, and there are plenty of people around to report the fire to authorities if need be.
As this is the second time we've seen smoke, I'm wondering if there's some sort of plant there that occasionally releases smoke or steam. A question for the local experts.
2:31 pm
And now it looks as if the camera has found a juvie!
2:44 pm
That was sort of cute - a large dark bird (juvie eagle?) was sitting on the shore, while a much smaller black bird darted around.
And then an adult arrived - then a second juvie flew at the first and they both went off. I saw another adult go by, and now the adult seems to be having a bit of a bath, and another juvie has arrived on shore.

Finally, after a dreary day of no eagles - A juvie is found. From the markings on his back, looks like the one from several days ago
