We have a very active eaglet here - she's picked up various things in the nest, done some flapping, tried balancing (briefly) on her "adult feet" and looked all around. Fun to watch her explore her world.

Well, that's different. Adult appeared, and started digging around the eaglet's feet, fluffing up the nest bowl. He(?) got a bit too close to the toes - and the eaglet pecked his head. They stared at each other for a moment. A bit more digging about by the adult while the eaglet looked as if she was trying to settle in for the night. And then the adult left. And now the eaglet is sprawled in the nest.

6:17 am
Turned on the cam to see the end of a feeding.
6:20 am
The breeze moved the branch for a clear view of Laf'let.

6:23 am
Mom is laying on the nest next to Laf'let.

Adult brooding, head feathers appear to be wet.
Eaglet is visible, partially under adult's breast.
Breezy, the leaves are swaying.
8:28am
No change, adult continues to brood, and is alert.
