just as I realized the adult was Off the nest & In it came from 3oclock with some sort of prey item?

Laflet is near the tree trunk waiting
adult is still standing with both feet on the prey.

the adult has finally moved a foot off of the item.

I have no idea what it was/is or if it is even food at this point.

2:54PM Well... adult has now moved to near the tree trunk and no feeding so, What do I know!!

something the color of 'fresh cedar bark' is at the 2oclock spot and for that matter I can see something similar at 11

laf'let is still alone and has been moseying around in the nest. he's at 9-10oclock at tha moment.

The camera branch shook a few moments ago indicating an adult may be in the tree.

ABW those photos of the chick are beautiful. From the size of his crop you likely got those soon after a feeding.

Laf'let is up for a poopshoot. He has a terrible time getting his balance. Falls on his beak but manages to get himself upright.

Laf'let wanders out of the bowl and sits with his back to the camera.
No adult seen on the nest yet this morning.

Adult finally arrives with breakfast.
Laf'let is getting a couple of good size pieces to eat.

Feeding is over. There wasn't much to this meal at all.
