Just after snapping this picture, at about 8:34, the osprey flew off the nest. It does show the nice sunshine today. Good to hear from you too Cal. Always good to know someone is watching.

2:04 pm, Parent switch. They certainly have the nest bowl ready for an egg.

Looks like mom standing on the nest. She has her back toward the cam. We've got a great view of the whole nest today. The weather is sunny with a gentle breeze.

2.40pmI just watched mom in the nest and I believe with all my heart that she is on an egg. She's trying to position it just right underneath her and then settled into it. If anyone has a video of this time frame they may be able to confirm it.

I think you're right Jude! It sure looked like she rolled an egg and then settled herself on it. She laid the first egg on this date a year ago. I thought she'd be earlier since she arrived early. Also, the Maine Ospreys laid their first egg 10 days earlier than last year.
