Just after snapping this picture, at about 8:34, the osprey flew off the nest. It does show the nice sunshine today. Good to hear from you too Cal. Always good to know someone is watching. Click on image to download

Good morning everyone! Great pics & updates; thank you!

I don't know if Mom's practicing or what, but she's lying in the nest with Dad looking on.

Hi Peggy, wave

Fantastic picture of the two of them this morning. Love it! Yes indeed; believe that they are getting real serious here.

2:04 pm, Parent switch. They certainly have the nest bowl ready for an egg.

Looks like mom standing on the nest. She has her back toward the cam. We've got a great view of the whole nest today. The weather is sunny with a gentle breeze.

wave2.40pmI just watched mom in the nest and I believe with all my heart that she is on an egg. She's trying to position it just right underneath her and then settled into it. If anyone has a video of this time frame they may be able to confirm it.Nodding

I think you're right Jude! It sure looked like she rolled an egg and then settled herself on it. She laid the first egg on this date a year ago. I thought she'd be earlier since she arrived early. Also, the Maine Ospreys laid their first egg 10 days earlier than last year.
