I didn't see too much feeding going on today. Close to dark a huge fish was brought in but I didn't see a meal!! Those chicklets must have been hungry today!!



I loved the pic where the three chicklets were lined up by size. Shortly after that shot the tiny one jumped to the front to get a bite...so feisty!

Thanks for the pics and reports - didn't have much time to watch yesterday, and not much was happening when I was able to look in, except that they were being sheltered from the wind.

There's a feeding going on now, but the adult is blocking the view of the chicks so I'm not sure who's getting what. #1 was being a bit of a bully later, though I think mostly to #2. There's lots of food and it looks like a sunny day, so I expect all will be fed before too long.

You're right about the daily pics, CAL - like the ones at Fort St Vrain, they update throughout the day, so ones from previous hours are today's while ones from later in the day are leftovers from the day before until they're replaced as the day progresses.

Thanks Cal + JudyB...I guess I just didn't scroll down far enough on that page or it just didn't register in my busy brain. A big "DUH" to me!!

The kids are home alone on this beautiful sunny day - and the difference in sizes is quite amazing! #1 was 2 weeks old on Saturday - and #3 was 1 week old on Saturday (belated Happy Hatch Day to Big and Very Little!); #2 will be 2 weeks old tomorrow.

there was a feeding of at least the 2 oldest around 9;15 and both parents were on the nest briefly

10:26 parent in with fish, blocking our view for the feeding

little guy chased parent across nest beak flapping hoping for food. parent more interested in brooding right now.

fingers crossed that the little guy can learn to self feed quickly
