I visited all 3 Oak Bay nests this morning. Mom Fire Hall was in the nest; it looked like she was either incubating or brooding. She started calling and then flew out towards the Marina. Dad flew in a few minutes later and landed in the nest tree then Mom flew back and landed in the fir tree on the side street. Dad flew over to join her, landing in another tree close by; they sat and called to each other for a minute. Dad flew off towards the Marina and Mom flew into the nest to resume incubating/brooding.

One of the Golf Course eagles was in the nest incubating/brooding and the other one was nowhere in sight. One of the tree service trucks was parked at the edge of the parking lot clearing out some branches that had broken off the trees (the edge by the apartment building, not near the nest tree).

I'm assuming Mom Anderson Hill was in the nest but I didn't see her. It isn't easy to see anything in that nestRoll eyes Dad was on Trial Island, perched on top of the smaller end of the island.

I'll post some pix later.

Here is a pic of Anderson Hill Dad on Trial Island, and 2 pics of the nest taken from both streets.
It's hard to see if there is an eagle in the nest but there is some white and black showing in the 2nd nest pic.

Great photos. Left thumb up There could be an eagle in the nest it's so hard to tell. I hope all 3 Oak Bay nests have a successful season.

Finally did a much needed tour of the Oak Bay nests today.

There appears to be nothing going on at the Firehall nest.Sad

Golf Course Mum was seen feeding at least one eaglet who looked to be about the same size as our Solo at the Sidney nest. I think there may be two eaglets at this nest but I was unable to get clear and certain documentation from either the Beach Drive view or from the top of Anderson Hill.

Anderson Hill Pa was on the marker at Trial Island as per usual but moved to his favourite perch tree sometime while we were viewing the nest . There was an adult in the nest and also feeding at least one eaglet.

Wouldn't it be strange if most of the nests we monitor only have one eaglet this season, like Sidney and Hornby?

Here is a pic of Pa Anderson Hill. You may click it and then zoom in some more, too.

Hey guys,

I did a brief search but came up with nothing. I would like to request the exact locations of these Oak Bay nests. From what I understand there is a total of three? Maybe a pinpoint on Google Maps to avoid any confusion would be ideal. Is there anybody who can provide this info? Thanks very, very much.

Tanner
