I saw another feeding - I think #1 slept through it, and while there was a lot of buffering, I saw a couple of times while Mom patiently fed the little one while #2 stood there, waiting his turn. I also saw the little one stand so high on his tippy-toes that it fell over Oh My - but he was back up and in place very quickly. Grin

I'm feeling much better today than I was yesterday. love

I've seen a couple more feedings - and littlest is getting his share. Grin There may be some rocky moments over the next week or two - but I think it will work out OK. These parents are so competent, and chicks from this nest have been mellow - and now that I've seen more action around the nest bowl today, I'm feeling so much better. love

If you feel "so much better", JudyB, then I feel better too. Nodding

Thanks Everybody for the reports, s'caps, pictures and, Debs, for your "snappies". Grin

6:47 pm,
Mom watched Dad eat fish for a while but she was hungry so she got up and finished off Dad's fish in almost one big gulp. Unfortunately, when she got up, she almost stepped on the 'lets. BB and MB are just fine. Mom noticed what she was doing; she did not put the full force of her weight on the 2 'lets. Instead, she wing-hopped over BB and MB. LB is on the other end. Mom left the nest and Dad settled-in with his 3 Lovies. love

6:50 pm, Dad's ready to keep his Babes warm. Could tell by their squirming that they wanted some warmth.

Hi Cal wave

I have been watching for past two hours and got a few snappies which I put together in a collage.
There was a feeding during this time slot but view was blocked; both adults were in the nest at same time X2 with one adult in the bowl entire time.

Great pictures and collages - thank you, Debs and CAL! Smile

Here are my pics from the day - it's hard to capture the moment, but I did see the adults carefully offering tiny pieces to the tiny chick - and making sure the big ones, 5 and 7 days older, were also adequately fed. They really are very good parents!

Thanks so much for the slideshow today, JudyB,

The 'lets look very healthy. Little One is too cute and is right up there asking for a fair share which it appears he gets by the way he is growing and moving. love Kinda looked like Mom and Dad had a little conversation about the feeding. So glad they are both good parents. Grin

Hi friends of the Decorah eaglets.Wub

This will be a busy nest with 3. The littlest is really small next to the others. So happy to read that the parents are watchful of the feedings and it is getting what it needs. Love the collages and pics. Quick visit and bbl

#1 is seven days older than #3, and #2 is five days older. Fortunately there's not much rivalry, and #3 seems very feisty - which he'll need to be to keep up with his much bigger siblings. They've been alone for a while, and it looks as if #3 is partly snuggling under #1.
