I'm having fun watching the antlers grow on our local bucks. The first picture is true distance from the 2 who visited last Mon June 25. Then a bit closer to both of them for their antler growth.

Just lover seeing the deer

July 2 a doe with fawn on the hill behind our apartment, Only seen from maybe 9th floor up. We're on 11. We think this is the one we saw & looked like she was having triplets.

July 4 I heard all this incredible chatter, took my bins & looked thru the trees. Luckily I had just brushed up on how to do manual focusing thru things

Pat, I wonder if that budgie wants to be someone's pet again? Oh My Not sure if it would enjoy life in the wild.

Three days after my last deer pics 2 bucks were outside our place again. Not sure if it was the same 2 with obvious antler growth or 2 different ones? Both looking to become 4 point deer at the stage they were in.
First buck.

HI everyone....

Calling on all our talented Screen Cappers

Do you have a favorite screen capture of our very own Ma & Pa's Wub

Ma & Pa Delta2
Ma & Pa Lafarge
Ma & Pa White Rock

If you do.... and would like to share it with us please send it to my email debs571@hotmail.com no later than noon Sunday - August 26, 2012

Pick your best screen capture as my email only has so much room.

When submitting your screen capture please include the following information:

Your screen name and contact information

In the subject line of your email state that its for the "HWF Screen Capture Contest" so that your email does not go into the junk or spam folder
When your capture was taken and at what Hancock Wildlife Nest (although we will likely be able to tell please include this information)
Images must be JPEG saved and no larger than 500 pixels
The screen capture must be "raw" without any enhancements; text or animations
The nest must be part of the capture

We would also like some screen captures that include some of our famous HWF kids or bobbleheads with or without the parents in the screen capture
and preferably taken when the chicks were just a few days old.

This Screen Capture Contest is for screen captures only no professional pictures this time around.

Although we would love to promote everyone's favorite screen capture ... as they are all "keepers" we can only select a few from this contest, which will then be used in an upcoming promotion so good luck to you all.

We will keep all screen captures on file for future HWF promotions so you never know when your favorite capture may be used in the future.

Thanks for participating and we look forward to seeing your beautiful screen captures!

Stim (Sandra?)) Beautiful photos of the buck in velvet. Hope the deer are not eating all the flowers you may have planted. In answer to your question from June 29: We have a partial water view where we live, and it’s about a 15-minute walk to the harbor and bay with two eagle nests on the way.

Pat: Is the green bird (parrot?) still hanging around? I guess it either escaped or someone let it loose. Hope it can find a home by winter.
