Great posts. You guys had me laughing out loud.
And Lana, thank you for showing us some more of your paintings. I especially like the sea crashing on the rocks. You did that so well, it makes me want to give it a try. I'm not really a painter, per se.
I got a chance to see those juvie eagles today bouncing around their nest. They seem to really like landing on the stuffie. I just love that critter being part of the nest all this time. Like part of the brood.
Karen, splendid photos of the glacier. That's something I've never seen.
I have yet to find and watch Christian's video. I'll have to go back.
Why Annie, thanks for asking! Was it something I said? My birthday is Friday. A mere 25 hrs. away.
I might go to the coast or just hang around fixing up my garden or maybe working on some art. I'm open.
Well, good Thursday to you all. I'm going to bed.

Good Morning ELFs.......
Oh yippee Claire, Happy Birthday Friday! In celebration of your birthday my Bleu is going to get her coat trimmed. Oops, is that not what you wanted? OK, then how about a nice swim for you in the ocean? At any rate, I wish you a joyous day. My daughter is a Cancer, birthday soon.
Lana, your pictures are wonderful! I love my Bleu Heron here in my study right behind my desk. I just turned to smile at him. So, am I the sole Libra in this delightful crew?
This visit with my son has been wonderful for all of us. He told me that it is the first time he has been able to be with us (his parents) alone since he left for College at 18 and he is 36. Life takes you spinning. It's funny cause I realized that same thing. A few moments here and a few moments there are not the same as time just being. We have talked, walked, discussed, and grown to know each other again. This happened so I am thrilled it did.
Annie, your kitty's name is wonderful. That is up there with Nightowl's kitty's name. She had a kitty named "Peek A Boo" and after Peek a Boo was gone she got "I See You".
Gabi, I have been meaning to mention that Playskool toys are some of the best ever. My grandchildren in Plano (near Dallas) have some on their wish list. I remember them from long ago.
That is cool that the eaglets love to land on Stuffy - he/she/it is a constant in the nest and somehow ties us there. It gives the nest a special Stuffy something and laughs.
Yesterday at the nursing home I asked a resident if she wanted us to visit (I go room to room asking) and she sort of shook her head, no words. We walked in and she gently held Bleu's head, looked into her eyes and smiled. The gentle soul touching the gentle soul. Just a moment but a unique one.

My daughter is also a Cancer her big 40 in a couple of weeks. (I had her when I was 8 LOL.)

My boys are Libras and are so just and fair.

This brings tears to my eyes - I miss those moments but they are carving out new lives and memories and happily we are included.

More tears - such lovely moments

Good Morning Carolyn and all,
I love that you have a therapy dog, Carolyn. I know what a kindly animal can do for a human. Thank you from all the people for doing what you do. My husband worked training and placing assistance dogs with people with disabilities of all sorts and we saw what that can do. Amazing bonds. My tomcat Matisse will also find the needy person (like my elderly mother) and climb on her to give her a treatment. It's funny, she's tiny and can't handle any weight on her body but he climbs up on her tummy when she's resting and she feels only warmth, not his ample poundage. That's pretty magical.
Oh and thank you! I was so hoping Bleu could get a trim in my honor. uh huh.
I will not be swimming in this ocean, I'll tell you that! One needs a wetsuit because it's Freezing all year round and extremely dangerous. We have the gorgeous coastline with black rocks jutting out, big waves crashing, riptides, sleeper waves... no swimming for me here. It's all scenery.
I'm so glad that you had that quality time with your son. Imagine what it must mean to him!
Gotta go get crackin! I will leave you with these photos of ice caves someone sent me.

and Annie, isn't that funny with your cat and the screen? Mine, too, was watching them intently. Ha! if only she could get a sense of scale! That would teach her. Like the time our very dignified cat went chasing turkeys around the house because she smelled "bird", and lots of it, only to run into 2 full-grown turkeys. She tried to stop so fast, she skidded right off the porch. Totally lost her poise. I was lucky to see that one happen. I'm still laughing after 15 years.
