Zion NP Riverside Walk, 3-20-10. We only have time for a couple of short hikes before we head back to Vegas to fly home. This is a very easy hike, about two miles roundtrip. Trailhead is at end of Zion Canyon Scenic Drive. Clickables First you must follow before you lead. |

Wild turkey, Zion NP, 3-20-10. Views of wild turkey near Angels Landing. It’s time to end our trip and return to Pacific Northwest hiking trails. Zion is very busy this time of year, and good luck trying to find a place to park before hiking one of the trails. Spring through fall, you’ll have to take a park shuttle bus to explore the canyon. Garden snake, Coast Millennium Trail, Semiahmoo Washington, 4-8-10. Always a good sign that warm weather is on the way. This is also one reason why it’s a pleasure to hike the trails in Western Washington. The snakes are not poisonous. Clickable First you must follow before you lead. |

Hi Kay: It's definitely worth a trip. We had a great time, but the only disappointment was not being able to see a condor because it was the wrong time of the year. We may return just to try to see the condors. First you must follow before you lead. |
