YES Christian post the photos!!
It is such an amazing and unique experience to get so close to the eagles!

We had such luck last Sunday, as Christian described fantastic close shots! I think the eagle was even closer than he thinks! I got close up to that one and also one younger one? It had the white head but a strip of black right in the centre! I am still working on my photos but will post more Smile How Christian has the strength to hold his equipment - while on the rocks / water and tip toeing so he doesn't scare the eagles is BEYOND me!! I am very thankful for my much lighter equipment! :P

Was it MA? I am personally not sure...there was approx 3 dozen eagles out when I first arrived at the beach last Sunday... The photos I last posted is of the same eagle Christian posted his last photo of... We each had different angles of the same close-up opporunity! In fact at one point we had that one eagle to the left of us and another to the right of us within the same distance - we weren't sure which way to point our cameras!!

7:57pm........Lovely pictures KLAW! Do you have to use any special equipment to get such great pics or do you just use a camera with a good zoom? Christian, of course cb is correct! We want to see the pictures.............please.

Great question MJB (Jean) ! I currently use a Canon T2i and shoot with just a 50-250mm lens - soooo I have to be quite sneaky to get close to the eagles! I originally got the T2i for 2 reasons - 1) to learn how to shoot better with manual modes / experiment with settings before picking a more professional series camera so I knew exactly what to buy later on and 2) it was CHEAP when i bought it, I got a great deal! Got to say I am sooooo ready to upgrade at this point (have my eye on the canon 5D Mark III *grin* and a pretty fancy zoom lens to with her when shes mine ehehehehe)

Patience is KEY when shooting eagles for this photographer! Smile

First of all, thank you for all your encouragements! And many thanks to Kelli for her kind words, she takes excellent photos as you can see, giving the important wider perspective.

So as promised, here is the close-up. I have several hundered images and selected 72 which ae still too many to post here, so then I finally got them down to 12. Here we go, no words really required, this eagle was exceptional.... enjoy Roll eyes
