Mom flew in and was VERY vocal - non stop


Dad flew in and she continued her chant. He left - she stopped squawking and began to feed the chicks. I did not note it but he must have brought supper.

Great pictures, BET - and definitely a challenge to get them! He did indeed bring supper - and actually, as far as I know, it was the first meal of the day, so the chicks were very hungry and Mom was indeed not happy! Not sure what it was, but it was big enough that #2 had a good feed once #1 was too full to bop!

I love being able to peek in here and see these chicks! It sure is nice to see babies here after all of the empty nest years. Wonderful pictures of the babies JudyB + BET--even if the nest was moving a lot. Loved the angry Mom s'cap!!!

Good morning!

More rain expected today, but the weather should be improving after tomorrow. Water levels here were getting very low, so we do need the rain - and leaves are bursting forth all over the place!

Showers on and off, so haven't seen a lot of the chicks today.

I checked the Maine forum and saw that there had been some bullying and bopping earlier this morning, but fortunately by the time I looked in at 10 am, there was a peaceful feeding going on, with both chicks being fed.





The weather's supposed to be good through the weekend, so hopefully that will mean lots of fish.

Water and nest are beautiful this time of day - and another peaceful feeding.







It looked as if #2 got most of the food while I was watching, while #1 lay there dozing - suggesting that she had already had a good feeding before I brought up the cam.
