Precious pic Debs. Wub so cute. I wonder how many eaglets were hatched late yesterday and today. Seems like several nests have new hatchlings.

Great shot and parents are so gentle......congrats.....to all the aunties and Grammies here.

I just checked the CHIL forum to see if they had set a time for the hatching, and they're now thinking there may have been a feather blowing around. It often is hard to tell that a chick is there, especially when it's a gray day or a gray time of day - they don't do a lot right after they hatch, often preferring a well-deserved nap after all that chipping away at the shell. Smile

Added:
Most cams don't have microphones capable of hearing it - but the chicks can actually start peeping as soon as they break into the air sac at the end of the egg, even before they make the first hole or external pip in the shell. And they can definitely peep once there's air flowing freely into the shell - and many do while they're pecking their way around the shell with their little egg tooth. love

Judy wave Smile well it sure looked like a bobble head to me had me fooled it must have been a false alarm Titter

Yes I defnitely heard the chick I had the sound turned up and I have heard this many times in the past five seasons...long before the hatch was complete so it will not be long Left thumb up

Mom has been actively restless tonight and looking down alot.
