Will the crows not come after Phoebe if she stays on the nest?

This is so tragic. And yes, crows are incredibly smart. They have decimated many of the robins nests in my neighbourhood in the last few years. I wonder if this nest will ever be safe again.

11:25 am Phoebe leaves again.

11: 33 am Phoebe returned to the nest. Scrabbles around with her feet.

11:35 am Buzzed around nest and then off and away.

So very sorry that you had to see and report the tragic news, Gail. hug to you and Bev and all who watch and love this nest.

Phoebe is leaving for longer periods now and yes, Bev, I'm sure that she is very aware of her surroundings and so quick that she will be fine.

Just finding her behavioiur now a bit puzzling, but then, Phoebe is geared up for incubating for a set period and maybe that partially explains it. I must leave soon myself as grandson coming for an overnight.

Red Heart to sweet Phoebe and to you all.

11:50 am Phoebe has been off the nest for awhile now.
