Good Morning Hellgate! Good Morning All!

The female was back and forth at the nest all day yesterday. She was watching for male to return but kept herself busy with nestorations. I was a little worried that we haven't seen the male return yet. I did see on Facebook that Heiko said he didn't arrive back last year till April 14th. Guess all's okay then!

Hi Darlene! Good to see you back too!

I'm working on a video I captured when they both landed on the nest this morning. As soon as it's uploaded and processed at You-tube I'll post it. I'm a bit concerned about the one that is laying down in the nest in the above picture I posted. It seemed like they were having trouble standing up. Also held wings funny. Maybe just the aftermath of the long journey they returned from!? I sure hope they are alright!

Hi JudyB. Tell me what you think of the video. Sassyk was questioning why the female was mantling. I originally thought the one down in the nest was the male, possibly having problems after his long journey. Now I am wondering if this was an intruder and our female was protecting her nest!?? :dunno:
