2013 Osprey Cam - Blackwater Refuge, Cambridge, MD

The ospreys have returned to the cam platform at Blackwater refuge in Cambridge, Maryland. Last season 2009 the cam couple raised and fledged 1 chick, BRAVEHEART. Lisa the webmaster loves questions and pictures throughout the season. Feel free to contact her at webmaster@friendsofblackwater.org.

An osprey on a very empty nest this morning. And a nest update from Lisa

Nest Update

03/19/10:
We had our first 2010 osprey sighting on Thursday, and another on Friday.

And on Friday morning, a Great horned owl was at the nest. GHOs are the #1 enemy of ospreys, so while we're excited to see the beautiful owl, we're hoping the ospreys will scare it away when they reclaim the nest.
