Hi Jean...feel bad about your dog...what do they do with lasers for back problems?? My Irish boy has had back problems twice that we fixed with Rimadyl tabs...but would like to know what other options we have for the future.

All the spring flower pictures are just LUSH...thanks to everyone for posting them.

White Rock is suspended in suspense! Waiting for the hatching to begin. There have been some really windy days there but they rode it out. I am always surprised that..with such a beautiful background of the bay, waves, and the distant shore..there are only generally about 3-400 viewers...might pick up when the hatching begins. Mom is currently watching the sunset fall and the water is calm. A perfect ending to her perfect day.

I also enjoy Decorah. Friday...the monitor did some incredible closeups of her panting in the heat with a cool view of her tongue and inner mouth. Also did some closeups on some other types of birds in the other branches of the tree.

Back to my homework...41 days left to graduation!

Did I mention how charmed I am by the White Rock eagles freshening up the nest with pine branches?? Wub As Mom nested into the eggs for the night..I think I still only see 2 eggs.

As I watched the wide angle camera from a distance, I was treated to a view of Dad flying across below the nest from left to right. Later Mom cried out ... then screeched ... and I could hear Dad echoing her as they sang a love song duet to welcome the nightfall. Tiny lights begin to twinkle on the far shore. Waiting for the buoy to light up that I can see between the trees on the bay at night. A brief yawn- then head snuggles into wing. A very light breeze ruffles her feathers from behind. Shh

There is a beautiful poem about nightfall posted by a blogger @ http://poeticleanings-sgw.blogspot.com/ ... tfall.html

It is interesting to me that the wide angle camera stays in color longer than the close up. It is nice because I can see the orange glow just above the northeastern horizon behind the low hills. When it switches there is a loud click. This is the first time I have caught the moment of the switch in the evening.

Good Morning.

The weather is to be warm all next week. Such strange weather going on at the end of March.

Diane I do get all 4 cams when I bring up Sooner Lake. The eagles there are using a new nest and the cam is on that nest now so the other frame is usually dark.

FSV is down and this may be hatch day....so frustrating....Jannice says she is getting everything but most of us are not. This happens over many weekends at this nest.

DIL may have food poisoning this am. We are not going off on an adventure today, but I may be going over to bring some mild foods to her. Maybe bring kids here for a while.

Just watched a cute feeding at DAvenport. All 3 lined up eager for food and NO pecking at all. Then the littlest one pecked the biggest one and biggest showed no reaction at all.

9:45am- Elsie has just finished feeding the chicks. They must still be hungry as they are bobbing up and down watching her.
I'll be back later. Just wanted to stop in and say Hi!

We have first hatch at Fort St. Vrain finally about 3pm the cams were operating again. The chick is up so it is at least a few hours old. If it is first egg it is day 38. There is food covered at 4.

Having the kids here let DIL sleep at home and she is feeling better.

Cecelia keep studying it is almost over.

Our trees are leafing out and the flowers are in bloom and it is tooooo early.

Sara and BArb I hope you had a great week end.

Bev I am glad you had so much family time yesterday.
I am off now....
