Mom was in for a very quick visit around 1:00PM nest time.

About noonish nest time....Mom and Dad are both in the nest busy re-building and squabbling a bit.

Lovely picture, Donna! And you're right, Mary - those are among the strangest "eagles" I've ever seen!

7:00 - 7:30 pm
I had the cam up for a while this evening just because it's such a lovely view - and it suddenly got lovelier when one of them arrived with a large stick! He(?) spent some time deciding the best place for it, then proudly looked around.



After thinking about it a bit, he perhaps decided it was important to make sure it was in a good spot from a nesting perspective - so he checked that out, as well....



Then he went to the back perch branch to relax - and a few minutes later jumped into the nest - just ahead of the other adult, making a graceful arrival. The had a bit of discussion about the nest....



Then one left. The other stayed there for a few minutes, looking very handsome - and then also left.

Their first egg was March 13 last year - but March 22 in 2009, so they're more or less in the middle of their traditional egg-laying period.
