I am surprised that there doesn't seem to be much written about the Little Owls this year. I hope that they were watched as avidly as in years past. I know that I enjoyed them immensely. I know we can look forward to another event filled season next year for sure as it was sure event filled this year. Have a great summer all and hope to join in next year!

HI Kerry, yes, you're right, we didn't talk much here this year, did we? We must vow to change this next year. I watched them every day, but just forgot to post. I watch so many cams but always forget about the forums that go along with them. The little owls are my favorite and I sat up till 1:00 eastern time July 1st just staring at the oustide cam until I couldn't stay awake any more. The stock dove came back a few times, I was hoping for a last glimpse of an owl. I love them so... I will rewind right now and say poor little owlie number one had the worst fledge, a forced one. How scarey. I just wish they would post some pictures of theem in the yard or at least tell about seeing them and how they are doing. It's so hard to go cold turkey like this. sigh....

My thoughts exactly Seahorse, I have been very worried about the first one but I think all the translated stuff said s/he was OK. But it was rather abrupt fledge wasn't it. Hopefully next year it will be less eventful. I am tired of the darn Doves being there, I know they just want to breed as well but I wish they would find somewhere else. Anyway I digress, it will be a long summer,fall and early winter without them until march. They are by far my favourite to watch. I hope to return to post more often next year. Until then all TTFN!

Another year and another chance to watch these adorable little Owls. They have really upgraded the nest this year and made it virtually impossible for the doves to take over this year. I hope to see lots of action and lots of bubbles this year. I also hope to be able to read alot of peoples comments on this forum. Here's to an active interesting 2012!

Hey there!! I have been watching them on and off since the first day the cam came back on line. I am glad for the owls that the stock doves have a harder time now moving in. I hope they have healthy, adorable babies again this year. I love these little owls. I saw that they raised the floor to give the owls easier access to the 'windows' today.

I am missing some features of the old format. I like having the links to the other cams on the top. I find I don't check them out now like I used to because it's confusing to me scrolling down and trying to remember which one I already clicked on, because of the language difference. It was nice when they had the name with the picture next to them up top. I also am spending more time than I like right now trying to figure out the forum and other parts, and I can't figure out how to sign into the chat to see what others are talking about. I didn't have to last year. It was easy enough to use the translater and get the gist of things. It seems just as I figure out the lay of the land, they switch it up. LOL. OH well... Maybe by June I will have it

Morning Seahorse, nice to see you here again. It may be just the two of us watching this cam. You can click on a tab called "ALLE VOGELS" with an arrow. This is at the top of the page. A drop down menu comes up and shows all the other cams with little pictures beside them, so you can watch the others like you did before. I know what you mean about trying to follow the forum. I am trying to figure out a way to watch and read as well. If I figure any thing out I will let you know. Happy watching, I think it will be a great season.(:

You're welcome Julie, I am just glad that I am not talking to myself (like I am most of the time) I don't mind how long it takes to get a response. As you can tell my response isn't immediate either. I have more responsibilities in life lately as well, so I certainly I understand. Look forward to chatting however briefly, as well as checking out the dear little bubbles again. I wish they would just settle in and start the laying business but then it makes their imminent departure come ever so much quicker.
