Good job Gemini. Nice photos. I dropped by the PNE after work today, and the best I could do was very similar to your last one. So I won't bother posting it. Just barely a head visible at the top of the nest. I think they have an egg in there.

Thanks for posting Ian! Glad to hear there was still a head in the nest today! That almost confirms egg(s) in the nest don't you think!! Yeah!!! I was beginning to think they had abondoned that nest for a new one when I couldn't seem to catch them at home. I must have gone to the nest at least 4 or 5 times and didn't see a thing! I am looking forward to chick(s) this spring and summer!

Thank you everyone for the nice comments! Thank You

Well done, Sharon!! That sure seems like the behaviour of eagles with an egg in the nest to me. your pictures just keep getting better all the time.

I hope you have luck with a visit to Lafarge at some point.

I came for the eagles, and stayed for the friends I made

Stopped at the PNE nest after I went looking for (and finally found!!) the Lafarge nest HERE. Pa PNE was home today, but Mom was playing shy and didn't poke her head up! (click bigger!)

Yesterday I met my family downtown for an early Sunday brunch and arranged to meet my son at a mutually convenient spot to avoid having to take two cars. Well, purely accidentally of course, that convenient spot just happened to be the parking lot where the PNE nest just happens to be located! (No ulterior motive on my part I swear!!) So I left a little early with camera in tow and got there with about a half hour to spare!

As luck would have it (or not!) no one was home! At least from what I could see that is! I sat in the car (it was blessed cold!) and waited and waited, but nothing! Then about 5 minutes before my meeting time, as I was about to give up, who should fly in but one of the adults with prey in tow! I presume it was Dad but wouldn’t bet the house on it! Out I got and started taking some pics. (All pics are clickable for bigger!)

Don't know what it is!

As I continued to take pictures a car drove up and out hopped a gentleman with a camera and huge lens! (His name, as I discovered later, was Michael.) He went running up to get some pics before the eagle made its escape! We both continued taking pics for a bit when the eagle, having spotted us, took off to another part of the nest tree!

I see you!!
