ELAINE - Thank you for your concern over Munchins. You must know how I feel. I have been looking up about the carrying cases and found there are some with wheels and long straps to pull like a suitcase. that really encouraged me a lot. I don't mind the expense for sure. So i will look into it more this weekend when I can think clearer and this flu is cleared up. I am at work today and do feel somewhat better. I too, can not imagine a life without my Munch.
Thanks for caring, Elaine, it means a lot.
I love this expression on his face.

Oh Gosh Vicki, I sure do know how you feel. My husband was in the Navy when we were first married, stationed in California. In order to be with him, I went out there. Not knowing anyone I was pretty lonely. I talked him into getting a kitten. My first Orange Tabby, named Kooky. I could only stay out there until my husband's ship went back out to sea. I flew home along with my kitty. I don't know why, but my husband was under the impression that I would find a home for Kooky when I had to come back to Michigan. ( he's not the cat person I am, but he's coming around) It's about time after being married 44 years. We had to purchase a heck of a heavy cat carrier. It's made out of wood and I still have it, but don't use it. We didn't have a whole lot of money, but I wasn't about to leave my baby behind. He lived to be 21 years old and I sure loved him to pieces.
I sure hope you get to feeling better soon. I would just hate to think of you being without your Munchkins. I get so attached to my animals. I sure hope you can find something that works for you.

Good day all! I have just finished reading Elaine and Vicki's last posts.
And, I concur...Cindy, I sure hope those wee babes are feeling a whole lot better. Flu is no fun, and just like our furry pets, little kidlets can't tell us where it hurts or what makes us uncomfortable. No fun, for sure.
Vicki: I sure hope you can find a 'carrier' for Munch. He is just too precious to give up. And, I truly think you are good for each other. I have to tell you a quick story. My younger sister had a cat - we called him Kat - and he was definitely one of those with his own personality.
She was moving from one province to another and drove a little white VW car at the time. She went to the vet and got some 'little white pills' to keep Kat quiet during the two day drive. She and I drove together; she the driver, me the passenger and to help with Kat.
Day of departure, we gave Kat one of his pills so he'd be comfy for the road trip ahead. He rode in a box in the back seat as he had escaped from his 'kennel', but he just sat on the seat and watched us for the whole day. Got to our stop for the night and thought we were pretty smart as we had outsmarted that Kat and kept him quiet all day long. However, as we were putting him to bed for the night (we had taken him for a quiet walk when we found our quiet motel)...lo and behold we found his little white pill stuck to the patch of white fur beneath his chin. We still talk about that trip!
Elaine: I love your story about Kooky. There's just something about our pets, isn't there?
Mary and Diane: I hope you are both having a great day.
Gotta go - just got back from town and am having a cuppa tea! (It snowed all night and the roads were treacherous this morning, so we waited until lunchtime to go out and do our errands.)
Have a nice evening, all.

 Hi Everyone!!
I'm at work but wanted to at least stop by again .... things were a bit crazy over the weekend, so didn't get any photo's posted ... but here are a few I have on my computer at work ....they'll have to do for right now ...
There is one of new grandson at one day old with the his cousins visiting him in the hospital. Then one of him in his University of Washington knit cap. (that is where is mommy is attending school right now; soon to have her Masters Degree ) There is one of him at 3 weeks with his blue puppy, and then one of the girls with their Valentine hats and then one of them last week with their pink puppies. The puppies are a great way for us to watch the kids grow when we see the new one each week. My daughter loves doing this, so she bought the blue puppy in hopes that they would do the same with Andrew, and they are. There is one of Pete on our last trip to the coast, sitting near the dunes, while watching my husband fly his new kite. And one of BC with the snow outside ... it is snowing here again today I am so incredibly ready for spring!!!! This has been one rough winter in this area ... I'm ready for and for sure!!
I cannot imagine you leaving Munckins either, Vicki And the carriers now can fit under the seats in the cabin area, which is much nicer for pets and owners alike. I sure hope you find one that works for you and Munch
Elaine; when my hubby and I were first married, we moved to Japan ... I could not take my cat (Kringle) due to the quarantine restrictions, so I left him at home with my parents. When we then came back, we retrieved him and took him to California with us. Then he moved back to Washington with us. He was quite the traveling cat.
Hi to Jan, Diane, Mary, Sandy and everyone else!
I really have to get back to work .... but wanted to at least say hi.
Have a good day!

Jan ...
Did not see the story about 'Kat' until now ... But what a great story!
That cat of mine, Kringle, from eons ago had a few stories in his time ... I think one of the best was when I was living in Japan, I received a photo of a long haired, gray and white tabby cat from my parents, with a note that said ... do you recognize this cat?? I thought that strange, as it was all snail mail in those days (1977) and why would they send it so far, knowing I had no phone or connection to them?? Turned out it was my Kringle, who had decided to play in the fireplace ashes of their wood burning fireplace - he was filthy! He was a beautiful, long haired orange tabby ... would have never known it from the photo!
I'm going to try to get in here more often .. I miss all of our sharing times ... I haven't had time to go back and catch up on posts, but will try to be more timely now ...
Oh... the girls are feeling 'better' but still have a ways to go ... nasty, nasty stuff they caught indeed ....
