Sunday Greetings ELFS!

Here ya go Carole.Mug of coffee and here's a morning hugto go with it.

It is a beautiful day here with sunshine
and headed for a very pleasant 74°...perfect for outside puttering.

I know what you mean Carolyn, Mom is cuddly looking...oh if we just could.
I'm always ready for a Bleu photo:nod:....talk about cuddling!
She evokes images of hugs around the neck.
Dancing, playing, swinging, sliding g'kidsWub.....what more could one ask for!

Oh the moon picture is so pretty Karen. It's been clouding up at night so I
haven't even seen the moon for a while. I always like the shots out your back door
and of course the majestic Olympics.

Christian, Just beautiful shots of the juvies and adults. Love the shot of the eagle with
the bone. The detail you get is unparalled in beauty. Thank you for sharing these.

waveSara!

Have a Wonderful Sunday Everyonehug

:hello:I just thought I would plop in here and make some new friends. I've been reading and posting on Screech Hollow chat with Carolyn and Karen for several years now and Carolyn has encouraged me to visit with you also. A little information about me. I live in Homewood, Alabama which is a suburb of Birmingham. I have been in this general area my entire life, but have visited all but 6 states in the US as well as several provinces in Canada, Mexico several times on cruises and one trip to Europe visiting Germany, Switzerland, Austria as well a quick trips into France, Italy and drove through Lichtenstein. I love seeing as many different places as I can. I have 7 children and 6 Grandsons, from 1 year to 7 years and another one due in June. I'm a self employed accountant for about 10 small businesses around here, working mostly at home, but go to 2 different retail stores several part days a week. I love animals and am very interested in photography.

Christian you have some beautiful picutres posted just on the couple of pages I have gone back to read. I don't think I can go through the entire site at one sitting and maybe not at all.

Gabi, the baby giraffe is wonderful. I wonder if I visited your city. We were in the Black Forest region, Oberammagau for the Passion Play, Munich, too many places to mention. You have a beautiful country. All the wonderful old castles and churches. I have tried in several German communities in the US trying to find some "shankin" probably spelled wrong-the thin sliced salty ham served for breakfast. It was so delicious.

Karen, get well soon. Great pictures from you as usual.

Interesting story about the geese laying the eggs in the tree. I also hope they can get down safely after they hatch. I'm overwhelmed trying to learn all your names, but it will come in time.

Gotta run, I'll be visiting again.

Welcome Sara

I came for the Eagles and stayed for the FRIENDS,
Lana

Just a quick plop to share pictures of some of my grand-pets.

Click on image to download The Beagle is name Darla and belongs to one of my sons. The Pit is Zoey and belongs to my youngest son, but stays at my house about half the time. Darla also has a brindle pit "brother" but I don't have a good picture of him that I can put my hands on right now. He isn't here much. Darla lived here for a while before her dad got married. They both love to be on my bed and sleep with me when they are here.

Click on image to download My cat named Scardy. He lives up to his name that was given to him right after he was born (at my house) since he is scared of his shadow. BUT he rules the dogs. They know who the alpha animal is in this house. He also sleeps on the bed. Lots of times I'm sandwiched between Zoey and Scardy unless Scardy tells Zoey that she can sleep close to him, then they sluggle up together.

Click on image to download These are Nanny and Mattie, my daughter's 2 boxers. I was baby sitting for one of the grandsons and took this picture with my cell phone of them wiped out from playing.

Another son had a dalmation who was about 15 years old and passed away New Years Eve. They also have 2 cats. Right now the other "children" are petless, but that could change at any time.

I hope all of you have a wonderful week.

wave Hi all

Had a busy day in between naps - still a bit "under the weather" !

Wonderful posts tonight - will not take the time to comment except for Sara's granddogs who look great!... and Christian's photos of the eagles which are brilliant!

Just watched the 25th anniversary performance of Phantom of the Opera at Albert Hall, which was superb - thought I would watch it to brush up and prepare for the sequel which I will watch at the theatre in a few weeks.

Good Morning ELFs......Hi to Everyone!

Karen, I missed it? I was looking for that performance and could not find it. Maybe it is on here a different time on PBS as they are in pledge drives. I love your moon shot.

Sara, enjoy seeing the granddogs live and in action. Scardy is precious sitting on the porch. Yep, I cheated and looked at the post so spell the name right as it seems to always elude me.

We had a beautiful weekend of cooler temperatures, blooming flowers, and sunshine. Today looks about the same so am going to go enjoy.........

Mug of coffeeMug of coffee Good Morning ELFs
I have been around and lurking. Most days just watching the WR nest while I paint...hoping to see an egg appear.......soon!!
I have really enjoyed all the posts and photos.
Christian I will never tire of seeing astronomy photos and galaxies far, far away. We used to subscribe to Astronomy Magazine even though we never had a telescope (It was our dream to have one some day). Now we attend an event called Dark Skies in early September at a local Provincial Park. A group from the Manitoba Astronomical Society who are trying to promote dark skies. All the bright lights we are using and the big strobe lights are causing birds act differently and stuff like that. They bring their telescopes and set up in a dark meadow and all of us attending can go around and look through their scopes. Each is directed at a certain spot, planet, or galaxy. An enjoyable evening and we aren't home it 1 a.m. ish!

Karen I hope you are feeling better and love the ideas of the naps. Best way to recover. Really enjoyed your photos and story of the one antlered deer.
Beautiful crocus in your garden too. I just finished a set of glasses for friends who are retiring and moving to Ontario. Probably they won't be back to the prairies so I did a set of crocus glasses for them. Not like those lovely stripey ones you have. I never realized there were so many different kinds!!

Carolyn that photo of Bleu just melted my heart. I showed her photo to hubby and told him that she is a therapy dog and the Bleu I talk about all the time and he melted into a puddle too.Wub

Sara a huge welcome and loved the photos of your Grandpets. They are so beautiful and cuddly. And boy can we relate to the sleeping arrangments. When we had Harley (Schnauzer) he slept sideways and oh yeah....we would get up and move around the bed to find a spot. Heaven forbid to disturb the dog!!!Titter

Annie hope you are well and coping with that multi-tasking o.k. I have been on the nest forum and you have been very busy there too. I don't know how you do it???Don't Panic

I have missed a bunch of comments but I really enjoyed everyone's posts. I am off to get to work on yet more glasses. 10 days til spring and we change time next weekend I think????

Hi to Carole, Jas, Lana, Bev, Joanne, Gabi and anyone I missed!!!
hug
