Hi Screechers......

Cecelia, that is a huge accomplishment and we all are proud of you! Might need to get that gown switched though. Smile

Jean, adorable photo of Knox and Pitina. Somehow the one of Knox reminds me of Guys and Dolls, the musical.

Cherie, precious eggs and owl. Fun to see what develops.

Donna, snow? We have 80 degrees and too warm for me yet (pool at 70 already, no way yet!). Supposed to cool off by the weekend to what it should be. Lots of beautiful stuff blooming. There is a beautiful breeze.

Bev, like a lion, huh, lamb here. Give the boys a hug for me. The birds were decimating my holly in front of my house today to get the berries. Reminded me of a picture Sara posted years ago with the same scenario.

Hi Everyone else! Just wanted to stop in for a second.
smiles,
carolyn

Bleu's birthday was 28th Feb and we celebrated by going to the nursing home. It was a great visit with many smiles generated. She is 5, which I consider unbelievable. Time flies!

One more "little thing".....my son and his wife are expecting their 6th child in July. And it is a BOY to add to their 5 girls! He is ecstatic. My daughter in law was thrilled too. But her father is thrilled even more as he has 7 granddaughters. So my hubby and I will have 6 granddaughters and 2 grandsons. Mr. E also will love this! - a boy cousin.

Catch each moment as a treasure, the joy is yours to hold.

Good afternoon friends. I'm home from Briarcliff and ready to relax a little. Most of my work is caught up at least until the first of next week. We are having HOT weather for this time of the year. It was 83* this afternoon and only went down to 66 last night. We have been cloudy/sunny/now cloudy again today. Bad storms in some areas last night. We are supposed to have thunderstorms overnight here coming in for the SW, then tomorrow night SEVERE weather coming in from the NW. They are saying this could easily be a bad tornado event. Hope they change their minds. I have a weather radio, but moved it out of my bedroom when it woke me up at 2am one moring to tell me we would be under a flash flood watch starting at noon. Come on now. They could have waited until a decdent hour to put that out. I will move it back in the bedroom tonight and tomorrow night. I usually hear the weather warning sirens go off, but if I am really tired I have been known to sleep through them. If they go off, I just cut on the TV and see what part of the county they are headed for. Jefferson is such a large county, they might be 50 miles north of where I live. If so, I just keep the TV on and monitor from the bed instead of going to the closet under the stairs off my den downstairs. Hope it isn't too bad and that I don't send it to Barbara and Jean.

Cherie, wow I don't see how she has been hiding those eggs so well. They look large.

Jean, I love that picture of Knox with the hat and tie. Soo cute. Also Pitina is a little doll.

Cecilla, congratulations on your soon to be honor. That is a lot of hard work.

Donna, snow again??? I have a friend from high school who is moving to Denver. They left Virginia a few days ago driving out and planning to take their time. On the second day, they flywheel on the car tore up and they were stranded for about a day and a half. Should be getting in this weekend. Not sure if he is transferred with work or if they just want to move. We already have a classmate there, so I think he will be looking him up when he arrives.

Bev, sorry you are also having snow and unpleasant weather. I know you are enjoying the boys.

Diane, how is your shoulder doing? I'll be glad for you when you can get to the doctor.

Barbara, hope your headache is gone and stays gone.

Carolyn, Helloooooooo. Miss hearing from you as often. edited: Carolyn, Earl was working today. Congratulation on the grandson. What are the chances that we posted about our new grands at the same time. Tell Bleu Happy Birthday. Just heard on the news that some counties are closing schools at noon tomorrow because of the bad weather coming in. Now they are saying mid afternoon instead of middle of the night. That would be better since sleepers might not go to safe place. They seem to be comparing this lead up to April 27. That is erally scary.

I don't know if this sad story hit national news or not. A grandmother in East Alabama made her granddaughter run laps around the house for 3 HOURS as punishment for eating a candy bar. The 11 year old died. The grandmother and stepmother-who was also there-are both in jail awaiting a hearing. The step mom had a baby not long after it happened and went straight to jail from the hospital. They asked permission to be let out to go to the funeral and grieve with the rest of the family. Request denied. This is just a such a terrible case. She was a darling little girl taken way before her time.

On a happier note, I don't remember if I told ya'll that my son John and his wife Lauren are having a baby. They are the ones who lost the twin girls In November a year ago. This is a boy and everything seems to be fine with him. He is due on June 3 which is my birthday. What a present that will be!! After the trauma last time, they waited a while before they started telling people other than close family, then I think I just forgot to tell you. They are so excited fixing up the nursery. They have moved from an apartment to a rental house so there is more room and a fenced in back yard for the dogs. Please keep them in your prayers for a completely successful full term, healthy, happy baby. This will be my 7th grandSON. No girls yet, but that is ok. Still have a couple of children to work on thatgiggle

Gotta git. Hope everyone has a good evening and weekend.

Good Morning Friends!:hello:
Hard to believe I am here first this morning. Seems like I am always flying out the door heading to somewhere. Not the case this morning. All I have on my agenda is our usual Friday lunch/dinner date! Cheers I just might be able to catch up the laundry and ironing this morning! Very Happy

Glad y'all liked Knox's picture. There are many more unique poses like that. Not sure where Sam found this photographer, but she is really good. Here's one more set of pictures I especially like since the yellow blanket on the suitcase is the one I made before we knew that we were having a grandson.

Bev, hope the weather is better for you today! Snow is one thing but when you get ice, it sure makes driving and walking hazardous! That's always a good time to just stay in your cozy, warm, home!! Have Phoebe's chicks fledged yet? I am so behind on what is going on at all the other nests.
The Ozarks missed the tornados the other night, but got slammed with golf size hail last night around 3:00am. Guess Thumper stayed up, talked the Elsie and kept watch on the situation. I posted a picture of his deck with hail and the weather reports at the Ozarks thread. All is well there this morning. Saw both Elsie and Einstein. Whew!!

Cherie that's a great pictures of your owl and her eggs. Looks like she will have 2 owlettes!! That is so exciting to have in your backyard. All we seem to get is raccoons, opposums, and squirrles. giggle

Sara I am happy for your Son and his wife expecting a little boy. Prayers that this pregnancy is a good one and they are blessed with a healthy, bouncing baby boy!
I did read about the little girl in our paper. What a cruel punishment. The grandmother and Step-mother deserve to be tried for their crime!

Barbara miss hearing from you. Hope all is well in Savannah~

Donna, is this weekend painting weekend?? Did you get all you wanted to do.... done yesterday. Seems like I always have big plans but things always seem to come in the way!

Carolyn congratulations on your son and his wife expecting a baby boy. Six children! Wow! They sure will have their hands full!

I think I caught up on all the news now. HI to the rest of you screechers I didn't mention.

Have a wonderful day all! BBL

Good Morning,
I apoligize for the short post here today. I want to thank you all for the prayers.
All of you Screechers in the south... I sure hope the storms stay far away from you. The last few days has been tough on some states. We are do for some of those high winds and storms this afternoon. We will get up to 50 today!

I have some running to do this morning. I have the same sleepless nights with my shoulder as I did my hip and I am so mad at myself for falling! Luckly my hip is ok even though it is the one I fell on.

Jewel Bear has 1 male and 1 female cub. They said the 'screamer' cub is the female! Wooh

Have a grear day!

wave Happy Friday, y'all!

Everything is fine here in Savannah. A bit breezy again today, leaves all over the yard and sidewalks, but very warm and mild. The AC held its own overnight and didn't come on this morning either until about 10 minutes ago. My front yard azaleas are now blooming too!Very Happy And my pink tree is getting very pink!Titter Bulletin is all done and sent, so the rest of the day is mine!Very Happy

Bev, sorry about your bad weather! Hope you can stay all snuggled up and warm inside today. That's so nice that the boys bring their friends with them sometimes. Sounds like they really enjoy themselves at your house, and I know you enjoy having them there.Wub

Jean, you had quite a winning streak at Mahjongg the other day, huh? Hope Sue will feel like coming back soon, but sure do understand that she isn't quite ready yet.Red Heart Knox's pictures are so cute and imaginative! Love the one of Pitina too! So glad all her bloodwork came back good. Enjoy your date today!

Diane, good to see you! So sorry you are having so much pain with your shoulder. That is miserable when it keeps you from sleeping. I know you will be glad to get to the doctor and hopefully get some relief!

Sara, hope your weather doesn't get too severe today! I was reading on facebook this morning that there are some really bad storms in Huntsville today, as well as tornadoes. Talked to Mike a few minutes ago though and he said all is well there. So, maybe they are isolated and not too bad. Hope they move on through quickly! That's wonderful about your expected grandchild! I will pray that the pregnancy goes well this time.Grin

Carolyn, wow! Baby #6! So glad they are having a boy this time!:thumrht: Happy birthday to Bleu - hope she enjoyed her day! Shannon was due on February 28th too, but she ended up coming on January 15th instead.:dunno: Glad your nursing home visit went well.

Donna, glad Mr. C enjoyed helping you with the cookies. Sounds like you are spending a lot of good grandma time with them lately.Titter Glad you found the paint color you wanted - can't wait to see it on the walls!

Cherie, what a great picture of Mama Owl and her eggs! They do look big! Maybe we'll see Egg HatchEgg Hatchsoon!

Cecilia, I know you will be walking tall, but probably not quite that tall, as you said! Hope they can get the correct gown to you soon. The time will be here before you know it! Congratulations!Left thumb up

Have a wonderful day and weekend, friends! I'm off to fix some lunch and relax!

hug

Checking in to say Good Night. Sara I hope you fare well with the storms rolling through the SE! I thought it would miss us, but on the news this evening they are saying the Carolinas too. Looking at the path, we are at the bottom edge of the storm system. I think Barbara will miss it totally!Prayers that we all stay safe!

Hope everyone had a great day. It was good to see you back Barbara. Hopefully your headache has gone!We stopped at a place on the way home from lunch that sells all sorts of plaster casts. They had several of your bird girls there.... all sizes. I spotted an eagle that wasn't very big and it had a fish in it's talons. There wasn't a price on it so we went inside to inquire about it. I got to talking to the lady there and she said they have a couple large eagles with wings spread ready to take off coming in next week. We decided to have them pick up one for us as well so I am really excited about that. They said they could paint it for me, but I want to see how it looks without paint first. If I want it painted, I can certainly do that myself! From the way they described it, the wings are spread as far out as my arms will go. She said the detail of the feathers is really nice. Can't wait till it comes about the middle of next week!!Cheers

Bev, hope you are doing well. Do you know if you are in the path of the storm?? Prayers that you stay safe too!

Donna hope you had a good day with the littles!

I'm ready to have some Mommy time with the pups. It was a busy week and I am worn out. If we have rain all weekend, then maybe I can get some "ME" time to sew.
Good Night Friends! Sleep Well!
