As you know we have had some copyright issues lately that we have had to address. Unfortunately, it is going to change the way you have been used to posting. Please read the following carefully:

DO NOT POST ANY GRAPHICS, animations, or photos without following the TERMS of USE from the site where they originate. Just because the heading on the site says they are free, does not mean you can copy them and attach them to a post. You MUST follow the designated method of use in order to comply with the copyright regulations.

BEFORE YOU POST: If you cannot find THE TERMS OF USE, have a problem figuring out how to post from a particular site or are unsure about its copyright requirements, please post a request in the Posting Copyrighted Material is Prohibited thread HERE to have someone help you.

There are a number of sites listed HERE that have the terms of use already defined. Each site has it’s own method of posting. The majority of them use the CODING system to share their product. Please see JudyB’s post HERE explaining how to use this method of posting your graphic. Once you become familiar with it, you will find it isn’t that difficult.

If you have difficulty with any of the other methods, again, please post a request for help HERE and someone will be happy to help you.

This is for YOUR protection because ultimately, YOU, The Poster, are the one responsible and will be the one that will be open to whatever repercussions come from disregarding the copyright requirements!

We all have to get used to this new way of posting and it will take some effort on everyone’s part.

I see you posted about driving again for the first time since surgery. I know you enjoyed getting out for a bit.



I read the "copyright" post. It has been put on all threads. There is a legal issue with members posting cards & pictures & greetings taken from the
internet. Some of them are owned by people who have copyrights on them and do not allow others to use them for free. Some of the sites may even say
they are free to use but legally in the "fine print" they are not free to use.



Hancock as well as any of us could get in legal trouble even if we accidently use something that has a copyright on it.


So, they are asking us to use extreme caution & only post things we own ourselves. If i take a picture with my camera, i can post that. If i take a s'cap of
an eagle nest or a bear den, i can post that.



They want us to protect ourselves & help them protect Hancock from legal issues that have to do with copyrights.


I tried to explain this as i understood the post from gemini & the HWF administration. I know Judy b has been looking into all this, too. It sounds like a
very complicated issue.


I will abide by their wishes & protect Hancock & your Singing Bird Lane. Let me know if you need more info, Jean.

Right now Iam in the throws of recuperasting over this eye of mine.The cancer was taken out . It has done well and I thank you all for keeing in the know of my triumph. It was a long hawl ( smile) may I say this as an etra. Thank you ALL for your comments and if I error forgive me. How's your evening? Did you make supper tonight or eat out? I'm headed to the kitchen after this post to make a hamburger & rice dish from some leftovers. That should be easy & few dishes to wash.

Tomorrow i am going to find something you might like & take a picture of it for you.

I'd sure love to see a new picture of Meil. Wouldn't that give the Birds of the Lane something to sing about?
If it ever snows good for you, i'l like to see a picture of that. This summer i look forward to seeing pictures of your pretty flowers & yard.

When you have time, tell me some of the things you like. Old Barns? Horses? Big Trees? Historic Structures? Country Churches?

I'll start keeping my eye out for things you like & try to bring a to picture to the Lane now & then, if you wish.
