Excellent video showing the action from earlier Castor. Smile
Nice s'caps showing the band numbers. Do you know how we could find out where the banded eagles are from?

A few eagles around on a snowy afternoon, but none really looking to eat while I watched. (I didn't watch for very long though.)
The smaller birds took as much as they wanted.

The feeding area is busy today - and it is snowing well.
Several healthy looking juvies - and the inevitable ravens and hooded crows.

Thank you for finding the band information chart Castor. Smile
I think this will be interesting seeing where some of the birds are from.

Thanks Castor for the chart and Scott for the explanation!! So does that mean that the bird in the picture above is a 2010 eagle from Finland? Fantastic!!

I believe you're right Mary. Smile

Now if only some banded eagles would show up we could learn a little more.

I haven't seen many eagles around the last couple of days that I've had the cam on.
There were always ravens, crows & the smaller birds and it was interesting watching them interact.
While watching this morning there were no eagles around, and soon no birds of any type as this visitor dropped in for a quick snack.

Scott...What a beautiful dog!! I can see why there were no animals there right then! Wooh

This morning there are no animals or birds in this beautiful long shot of winter on the other side of the world.

A short time later LOTS of crows showed up..I guess it was mealtime!

Hi Mary Smile

In your third s'cap I think the top bird is a Hooded Crow, and the other two are European Magpies.
I haven't seen any eagles yet, just the usual crows, ravens & magpies.

An interesting visitor which I missed earlier, plus other types of birds that were at the food. Raccoon dog posted on the Looduskalender forum
