I went by the airport nest on my way to Pat Bay this afternoon and there were no eagles in sight. As I was taking a few pics of the nest a red-tailed hawk flew into the tree beside the nest tree.

On my way home from Sidney, I spotted both the eagles perched in different trees by the water on Lochside Drive. This is Dad who was perched with his back to me, looking out over the water. I kept hoping he would turn around but he didn't, even when a red-tailed hawk flew over the tree he was perched in. I started walking back to my car and glanced at him through the trees and saw that he had turned around. I walked back and got a few pics of him before he flew off over the highway and in the direction of the airport. Click bigger.
