Jill, your daughter is adorable! Wub

Sorry I haven't been around much, but after almost 12 years in this tiny house, I've decided it's time to move to a bigger place. I've finally found somewhere that will allow me to have my 2 cats without charging me an arm and a leg...and requesting my first born child as a down payment. *ahem* Although at times I did consider giving him away. happy I'm excited though...this new place has a dishwasher! Cheers It also has newer amenities of the 20th century, such as a frost-free fridge and an indoor bath tub! cheers OK, I haven't been taking a bath in a wash tub out on the back porch on Saturday nights, but all I have is a shower stall. It'll be nice to soak in a nice warm tub of bubbles if the mood strikes me.

So, now the real fun begins...packing. Faint

Congratulations Nightowl on your new place. I am sending a bunch of little gremlins to help you pack - not sure when they will arrive as I sent them by courier, but well, you never know. Grin

Hooray, you get a bath tub! Soak in the tub, a rub a dub dub.....you'll feel happy and snappy
and the cats will all go zappy......p.s. cats like to lie in tubs too.......but not with you if you use water as a cat repellent.

Jill, such an adorable picture of your daughter.....love it......

smiles,
carolyn

Hey Carolyn! Hello

Thanks! I think the little gremlins have arrived...and they're going to be busy. Nodding I not only have to pack everything here, but I also have a storage locker I pay for, so everything from there has to be repacked to move also. Oh boy...what did I get myself into? Help emo

I'm not sure how these 2 cats will react to a tub...they've never seen one...but I'm sure they'll do plenty of exploring around the new digs. I used to have a big black male cat named Rover (he acted more like a dog than a cat) and he loved the tub, with or without water. It started when he was a kitten and had ringworm (which he gave to me! ) Anyway, I had to give him a bath in some type of medicine a couple of times a day, if I remember right. I put a little wash tub in the big tub and stuck him in it. At first he hated it, but then settled down and enjoyed getting in his tub. It got to the point when I ran bath water for the kids, I had to shut the door and lock him out...he'd hear the water running and make a bee line for the tub. A few times, he managed to sneak in the door with the kids and I'd hear "MOM! Get Rover out of the tub!" He'd be in there with the kids...sitting in the middle of the water like he belonged there. Laugh Sometimes the'd shut the shower doors (like that was going to deter him Roll eyes ) and he'd jump on top of them...and dive in. Rolling on floor laughing I'm not sure if he ever perfected a swan dive, but the kids moved out of the way and waited for him to splash down. Rover was one unique cat for sure...and mean as a mad hornet if you made him angry. I sure miss the big guy.

I don't think I'll have trouble with Slippers wanting to get in a tub of water...she high tails it when I pick up the water bottle. Titter

waveHello all!!

Hey Nightowl, that is wonderful about your new place! Moving sure is a great way to do some spring cleaning I have found. You find stuff misplaced decades ago that you had gone bonkers trying to locate!!! One thing I have heard about moving and cats...You are suppose to keep them inside for at least 2 weeks so they get their bearings and not get lost. If they are indoor cats well, I guess they just luck out. Titter I imagine it will be a relief when all the moving is done, and the figuring out where stuff goes, and waking up in the middle of the night and actually remembering where the heck the bathroom is, is over. Phew By the way, I adore the pictures you post every day!!

That picture of my daughter was taken 18 years ago. She still has us wound around her little finger......

Carolyn, if you have a few extra gremlins, I could use a few........?

Hi Jill!

I spoke to my gremlin crew and they want to know what cleaning supplies you need? They are on their way.....make sure to listen for their knock.

Nightowl,

I love the story of Rover, yet only you would name a cat "Rover". My sister-in-law at one time many years ago decided to give Tidbit their 20 pound cat (unreal name, huh?) a shower, so she threw the towel on the door and in she went. Well, as you might expect Tidbit used the towel for leverage to get himself out of that there shower, throwing soap and everything all over the bathroom. That did not happen again - they lived barely and learned.

hugs,
carolyn
Good luck.........the gremlins are going to be so tired, make sure you give them something to eat before they go over to Jill's.
