Our juvie rewarded us with preening a bit just before we left. We had missed the poop shot talking with another couple there but got some preening. And just as we drove away, juvie flew out of the tree to the NW, same as sub adult had done previously while out of range of shot.
We did not dare go to the nest site as I needed to get home to get Sunday roast into the oven. I had spied an eagle in the nest tree on driving by on the highway into Davis Bay around 1:15. We were close to an hour there.

:hello: Yes, Marg, a rewarding day all around. I'm so glad you saw some action too. I love your shots with the moon included. It does add an element of awe. I'm thrilled both adults were back in the nest tree protecting what they have claimed. Interesting, I've never heard gunshots while visiting the neighbourhood. They were very obvious in your videos.
We missed you by about 20 minutes, but did get home in time to pop the roast in to cook.
Enjoy another sunny one today!
