The tiger does roar, while the eagle does soar,
watching with wonder transfigured, while stalking the beast.
The antelope runs to make a wild dash to escape the speed of the tiger.
The eagle it watches waiting its turn in the blue skies suspended.
There are times we cannot believe the beauty of these creatures we do not understand,
while hoping to just catch one glimpse from way afar, beyond the turn of the world.
The moon hangs suspended shining down on the scene, and for a moment,
it is all so beautifully serene.
The dreamer watches from afar, wishing to view an eagle soaring,
the wings dipping low, to give a huge hello, would bring a smile to any face.
We all know the story, the eagle's proud glory, while knowing tigers and eagles
do not exist in the same place, we can imagine just in this space, they do.

Beautiful, Carolyn...I loved the poem. I can also tell you where plenty of tigers and eagles live in the same place!!

Whoops, sorry Judy and Mary! I so appreciate your kind words as writing is fun for me. So.....maybe I should write another for you.......
Zipping and flying all over the room,
even in the air without a broom, paws leaping gracefully
without a care, and going where you and I would not dare.
Watching the fly by it looks all so easy, but doing it myself,
might make me queasy, as upside down is not normal for us,
but generally welcome to kitties and pups.
Speaking of pups, watching them doing their alligator thing,
they look so serene you want to give them a fling,
out on the pavement to prance in the air, often without even a care.
Just think this is as a child would view it and then again,
who would have knew it!

for the poetry, Carolyn - a wonderful reprieve from the chaos I'm in at present
Well, better get back
I've been so slack
And not at all on track
With all the tasks
Which weigh on my back!
