I've been watching this nest off and one for a while. I noticed some new greenery there. Has there been a visit???

Hi Arlene! I've also been watching quite a lot on and off - and I have not seen a visit, but there are big chunks of time when no one is watching, as these eagles don't seem to do as much work in the fall as the Delta 2, White Rock and Lafarge pairs do.
The early morning is quite lovely here.

I have never seen or heard such bad weather there.
The tree's branches are thrashing about - ( shades of Harry Potter) - but the nest is still hanging on!

Someone is perched on the branch above the nest - not sure what yet, though obviously not an adult eagle.

I think it's big enough to be a juvie, but can't be sure if it really has light colored areas or if that's the way the light is reflecting from the feathers.

Gone, and I was doing something else so missed the departure.

Glad you saw the departure, Pat - I missed that.
Good to see you here, binkster and stim!
I saw a large dark bird fly by a while ago - was busy with something so didn't note the time. It looked big and graceful enough to be an eagle, and I didn't see any white, so it might have been the same possible juvie we saw earlier. I do know there are eagles around - but it's nice to see one now and then.
