I'll pass the message on, Judy, but I know Richard is pretty busy for the next couple of days, so it may not happen immediately.
Thanks for all your work documenting the nest - and for letting us know a change in focus would help.

3:22pm Delta2 quit again this afternoon -- thinking it may just be me, I asked gemini to check it and it is not working for her either.
I came for the eagles, and stayed for the friends I made

Quote by: garyandjudyIs there anyway that Richard could focus the Lafarge cam on the man made nest and railing over the top of the nest tree...I've been watching for 15 minutes now and no cam view of the man made nest and the eagles were sitting there this morning ...in fact they spend a lot of time there and they also mate there ....also the view of the inlet the cam needs to be moved over towards the left because one of the Lafarge eagle sits on a pile-on ...he is there today but you can barely see the eagle as the lense is too far over to the right and a pole is in the way on the left so please move it more left so we can see and document this nest......thanks Judy
I'm getting the Artificial Nest View this afternoon, ladies.

Richard was going to try to adjust the Lafarge cam - hopefully it now has a pattern that provides a better look at where the eagles are spending their time these days.
And I've emailed Peter to remind him about White Rock. He was away over the weekend, and I'm guessing he's returned to a long list of things to do - and I'm hoping he'll get to White Rock soon.
Delta 2 is back now - thank you, Ken! (Or maybe it was just having a small moment of disconnect and recovered itself - but Ken doesn't get thanked half enough for all he does - so I'm going with "Thank you, Ken!"

Gemini told me that she left the cam up after confirming with me that it was not working this afternoon and that it eventually came back on it's own ... So perhaps it does have a mind of it's own (OR it hears that Ken is on the way and begins to behave rather than face Ken's Fix-it skills )

Delta 2 and White Rock CU are both down. I've notified Ken, but have also noticed that the BC Hydro site is reporting outages in Delta and Surrey. I don't know the area well enough to know if the power is out in the area near the nests; Delta OWL is streaming.
We've heard back from Peter at WildEarth and he's not sure what's happening with White Rock WA. It looks as if he and Richard will need to put their heads together on this - and Richard is going to be quite busy with other things for the next couple of days - so I'm afraid it may be a couple of days before we get it up and running.

Update from Richard:
Just to let you know - big wind storm around the Vancouver area. Seems to have taken White Rock offline and has hit my home too - I can't get my email (that way - I have other ways but have to configure them).
The main server (that this site is on) should not have any problems - it is on backup power and in a big building. The outlying sites may go down either because of direct power issues, or because the cable/phone network is disrupted due to trees and downed lines, etc.
I'll pass that information on to Peter at WildEarth.
As a reminder, if the forum goes down, we'll be posting updates on the Hancock Wildlife facebook page - http://www.facebook.com/pages/Hancock-W ... 4430480179. The page is public, so you don't need to be a member to read updates there.
Sending good thoughts to all the folks in the greater Vancouver area affected by the power outages, and hoping they'll be back online soon.
