I haven't see any eagles at Saxe Point since my last posting - probably fishing at Goldstream Park as I was by there on Sunday and there were huge numbers of people there watching the salmon run!

My son is a member of the Esquimalt Anglers, who have their club house at Fleming Beach at the other end of Munro St. The guys see the eagles perched in the trees and on the pilings around the beach and dock area almost every morning. So they are definitely staying in the area. I sure wish I still lived in the areaSad

I went to Saxe Pt. Park this afternoon shortly after 2 pm and saw Pa perched high up in the nest tree. When I was taking pics of him from the path below, I saw Ma flying overhead towards the other side of the park. Pa kept looking in that direction and a few minutes later had a poop (pic 2) and I thought he was going to fly off. He sat there callng to Ma and as I was talking to the parks employee Pa flew off towards the other side of the park. Here are a few pics, taken from the path below; it was the only spot where I could get a clear pic, but it was a very shaded spot. Click pics bigger.

Nice pictures Kay! I have been too busy to go in the last couple of days but nice to know they are still around.

I saw two pairs of eagles at Macaulay Point on Tuesday. I believe one pair was Saxe Point and the other possibly Beacon Hill. They spent the day flying in and out over the ocean. They were being very playful. At one point the Saxe Point pair flew at each other very quickly, locked talons and fell into the ocean and me without my cameraDon't Know. It was a very impressive showing. Didn’t see hide nor hair of them today.

capo, I was at the Saxe Pt. park last Sunday and Beacon Hill Park last Saturday and I didn't see the eagles anywhere. Glad you saw both pairs. Too bad you didn't have your cameraSad
