Thanks Terry, Yes, I can view any other streaming video on the web so far - and believe me without cable I do a lot of online viewing. I do appreciate the suggestions too - because I'm tapped. I've even googled the issue to only find the links back here and to WE. LOL or folks using Linux - that's why its' frustrating. I feel like I'm the only one in the world with all the MS updates and flash and security - and tested them by taking them down - i.e. firewall and a/v to see if they were blocking it. Starting to get paranoid now and maybe WE don't want me watching their cams or something - if it was one browser or one computer but for me its' desktop and laptop on wired DSL connection - so perhaps the ISP - is next in line. I hate calling tech support - they say stupid stuff like - reboot your computer and router and - well, - just to make a point I used to work for this ISP and so I have done everything I can on this end. If only I could get to their Networking support level guys. Bottom line is Yes. I can view Ustream and the other nest cams etc.

<banging head on wall>

oh and I even switched out my ethernet card incase it was failing - far reach but. it was worth a try.

Can I hire you to help me with my PC woes? Seriously you are one knowledgable person to be sure and we can always use people with a sound technical background happy

Susang3 - I wish I could think of something, but you've tried everything I can think of at present - plus a dozen or so things that were great ideas and didn't occur to me. I have this feeling it's some incredibly stupid thing (not on your part - and probably not on our part - but some switch somewhere along the line that accidentally got turned off or something). I still think it's significant that you can see Lafarge - and wish I could connect with Peter at WildEarth, but they're in the middle of a mega-project and it's likely to be a few days before he's in a place where he can check emails. I also wish I knew for sure which cams there were on which servers at WildEarth, as I think there may be other WE cams that might work for you, but don't want to suggest trying them at random. Next time I lose part of them I'll try to make a list.

Crazy idea, since I've run out of sensible ideas - do I remember correctly that you're using a laptop? Is it something you could take to a library or coffee shop and see if you could connect on their network? I honestly have no idea what that might prove - but it would at least rule out a setting in your computer (which I really don't think is likely - why wouldn't it also block Lafarge?).

I'll continue to keep my thinking cap on - and have one other idea that's crazy enough that I'll send it in a PM.

White Rock Update - Both cameras are working - but it is very windy. It took a couple of refreshes before the CU cam came up for me, and it looks (and sounds) as if it's freezing more than streaming. Not sure if it would help to reset anything - but am guessing we're better off waiting until morning and hoping for calmer weather!

Maybe they are working on updating it - Perhaps my issue was updates beyond what their servers are putting out. My issue has been a continual "Connecting to Video Servers" and never loading. hm. just gonna have to wait this out. I've done all I can -

yes Terry, if I can be of any help. Just ask. My motto is if I don't have an answer, I will look into it.

White Rock is looking OK this morning, both WA and CU (I even saw eagles!).

I also can't connect to Delta 2 and have sent an email to Ken.

Hopefully WildEarth's big project will be done soon, and Peter will be able to set the time on the cams to PST, and will also be able to check the servers to see if there is something he can change there that will make all cams accessible to all viewers.

Terry, you had a good idea thinking out side the proverbial box. I packed up my laptop and went to the library and not only poked around the computer bookshelves but logged on to see what I could see and Voila! - I could see the WR cam CU and WA. - SO - The issue is not with my pc or laptop or with HWF or Wildearth. but MY ISP... how frustrating that is going to be to iron out. They are going to claim that my inside wiring is old and (I rent) want to charge me to replace inside wiring - before they send out a tech. oh I know their song and dance, I used to have to perform it. sigh. But, At least we can breath a sigh of relief that even over wifi in a busy library network I was able to pull up WR on my lappy. Back to troubleshooting the Delta2 cam. Wish me luck in my escalating issue. and Thanks for all that have helped brainstorm. (hugs)

That Makes my Day, Susang3!! There is at least a light at the end of the tunnel. Wouldn't a wiring issue be something your landlord would be (at least partly) responsible for?

I may send you a PM on the weekend about my PC challenges... (mostly it is old and lacking RAM and I am trying to coax it into a bit more performance than it wants to give me)
