:hello: thanks Judy & Ed. I didn't actually see the eagles when I was taking the picture, but they often sit there so I thought I would take a few pics. Earlier in the afternoon Mt. Baker was beautiful, but it was starting to get a bit hazy when I took those pics.

Ed, if there is going to be a new house built on the property, it probably won't start until after the eagles have left; so many municipal bylaws and red tapeRoll eyes The work on the old brown house might possibly be finished before egg laying time:dunno: I guess we'll find out eventually, and I'll keep you informed.

Here is a link to the article in the Oak Bay News about the fireworks July 10-2009. I don't seem to be able to copy and paste it so you can scroll down to it if you are interested. sassyk/Kay copied and posted it for us.

I did a tour of the Oak Bay nests this morning. I did not see any eagles in the vicinity of the Fire Hall nest and didn't speak to anyone in the area. I went by again on my way home and still no sight of them. There were no eagles at the Golf Course but I did spot them sitting together on the island off the waterfront when I was at the lookout on Anderson Hill. I had my smaller lens on and when I went back later with my big lens they were in the tree across from the golf course entrance. I did not see the Anderson Hill eagles anywhere; not even on Trial Isl. I will be back after dinner to post some pics.

This is Pa flying over the golf course and landing in the tree next to the nest tree. The sun was low and close to the nest tree, so the pics aren't very good. Click bigger.
