6:39 pm Both Mom and Dad Lafarge home. Then Dad left. Can't tell if he is on the feft branch or not.

3:46pm 1 adult on the leftside perch branch about 1/2 way along.

I noticed this the other day, too. On the rear tree trunk is a rusty-red patch that looks as if it could be an area where the bark is missing. Any thoughts?

I see pa Lafarge pecking at that spot all the time....maybe the chips are nest covering or maybe grubs in the wood dunno just a couple of suggestions
