Thanks elle.

Here are a few pics of the Anderson Hill eagle in the perch tree along the path. The first 2 were taken with my 270mm lens; the others with my 500mm lens. Click bigger.

Here's 2 new pics of the old brown house behind the Fire Hall nest; you can see the back of the fire hall in the 2nd pic. Also a pic of the new house being built across the road. Click bigger.

I didn't see the Golf Course eagles anywhere around the golf course, but after looking at my pics I spotted them together perched on one of the small islands off the waterfront. They are right in the middle of the 1st pic. Click bigger.

Hello Kay and Elle: Enjoyed all your photos. That’s quite a controversy. Any idea who is right? You have a fireman saying construction must stop, and a worker saying construction can go on. It will be interesting to see who prevails. Hope you are enjoying the beautiful fall weather.

Kay, I also wanted to comment on your last three photos. Yes, I did find the eagles on the island when I clicked the picture bigger. Did you see them when you took the photo or was it after you examined it on the computer? Also, in the second photo is that Mount Baker in the background?

Thanks Ed.
I am going to make some enquiries with the Oak Bay municipal bylaw officer. I also have a friend who is running for Oak Bay Council in the upcoming election in November. I am having lunch with her later this week actually so I will ask her about this. Both she and the bylaw officer helped me when we were trying to find out about fireworks displays at the Golf Course. They were taking place annually on our Canada Day, July 1st, just 100 ft away from the unfledged eaglets in the nest. My friend got me an interview with the Oak Bay News and the bylaw officer and the fire chief were both instrumental in fining the Golf Course for displaying fireworks without a permit. They haven't had fireworks since.
This is not the first local incidence of this kind so I think it warrants looking into the laws.
Yes the weather has been absolutely gorgeous.
