A different perspective of our Lafarge eagle's territory!
A panoramic view of Burrard Inlet and North Vancouver as seen by the eagles and the PTZ cam at Lafarge!
(Click for full size and magnify for a better view!)

The outlined green space area above the grain elevators on the other side of the inlet, is actually located on a cliff that stretches the entire length and beyond the grain elevators. It is known as Moodyville Park. Another eagle pair reside in this park. (I have seen the pair numerous times, perched in various spots within the park, and also while defending their territory, quite vociferously, from a hawk, but have as yet to discover their nest! It is well hidden in the evergreens!)
As you can see, as the eagle flies, it is not that far from the Lafarge eagle territory. Perhaps when the Lafarge eagles are perching on the "barge poles"?? they are keeping watch to be sure the Moodyville pair don't invade their territory!

I think you're right Pat! I have a scap of her on the sleeping branch at 11:36 pm last night and she was still there when I went to bed at 1:30 am. Will post it here when the forum is back to full functionality.

2:36pm not seeing any eagles at the moment.
2:56pm adult on the nest -- may have been eating. cam moved off too quickly to be sure.

3:05pm adult still on the nest.
We have lots of glare on the nest at the moment-- pretty mauve and gold too.

3:08pm adult gone now .
I came for the eagles, and stayed for the friends I made
